Privacy Policy
The short version: your data lives on your device and in your own iCloud. We don't run accounts, we don't run ads, we don't sell or share your data, and we can't see it.
What LIFT stores, and where
- Everything you log — workouts, food, fluids, supplements, body measurements, progress photos, costs and settings — is stored on your device.
- If you're signed into iCloud, the same data syncs to your private iCloud database (Apple's CloudKit) so it backs up and follows you across your devices. This is Apple infrastructure under your Apple ID; we have no access to it.
- There is no LIFT account, no LIFT server holding your personal data, and no analytics or tracking SDKs in the app.
Apple Health
With your permission, LIFT reads data such as steps, sleep, heart rate and active energy from Apple Health, and can write workouts and nutrition back. Health data is only used inside the app on your device, is never transmitted to us or anyone else, and access can be revoked anytime in iOS Settings → Health.
Food lookups
When you search foods or scan a barcode, the search text or barcode is sent to food databases to fetch nutrition facts: Open Food Facts (a public database) and FatSecret (via a small relay server we operate, which holds no personal data and keeps no record of who searched). These requests contain the query only — nothing about you or your diary.
Photos, camera & microphone
Progress photos, meal photos and equipment photos stay in the app's on-device storage (and your private iCloud, as above). The camera is used only when you actively take a photo or scan a barcode; the microphone and speech recognition are used only when you use voice logging. Nothing recorded leaves your device.
On-device AI
Features like the coach chat and food-note parsing run on Apple's on-device AI models where the hardware supports it. Prompts and responses are processed on the device and are not sent to us.
Subscriptions
LIFT Pro is billed by Apple through your App Store account. We receive no payment details — Apple handles the entire transaction.
Waitlist emails
If you request access on this website, we store the email address you submit and use it solely to send beta invitations and launch news. Reply to any email or write to us to be removed.
Deleting your data
Delete the app and its on-device data is gone. To also remove synced data, delete LIFT's data in iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. Because we hold nothing, there is nothing further to request from us.
